Story #3  Rick Block & Clint Nelson & Dick Neimeyer

In the summer following graduation, I and two other guys, pulled a prank that we all still remember.  We tied underwear (mostly female) to a long clothesline rope and used weights to throw it over opposite telephone poles at the corner of Sheridan and Colfax.  We did this late on a Saturday night and called KIMN radio.  We went back as innocent bystanders (??) in the morning before dawn (we couldn't hold back the curiosity) and found police and fireman removing said items with a ladder truck.  We seemed to appear to the police as prime suspects so we jumped in my car and raced through Lakewood alleys with the lights off and finally eluded the cops.  We were inspired by the commercial about "wash being so clean you could hang it on main street".
