Whew!!! Haven’t the years gone fast!
My statistical stuff:
·
Addresses: California, Colorado, Illinois, Texas
·
Child: Mike, January 5, 1973, Research Engineer Associate,
Applied Research Lab, University of Texas at Austin software and hardware
designing for submarine sonar. So proud of him!
·
Dreams: Finally get CPRfS – Christian Primary Relationship for
Singles off the ground. Provides a liaison group to single activities.
·
Education: May 14, 2000, CISB Associates Degree with honors from
Mesa State College here in Grand Junction. I have discovered that I am not fond
of computer work. Ah, well !!
·
Faith: As a Christian I have enjoyed reading the Bible from
front to back and am now enjoying my seventh time through.
·
Joys: Walking with God thru life, my son, volunteering,
golf, teaching C/W dance, social dancing.
·
Married: 1966-1990 Divorced due to alcoholism. Mick died in
1997.
·
Memories: I remember Mr. Wendell Wilson’s inspiring speech on our
first day as sophomores encouraging us to work together to build a new school
spirit based on good sportsmanship.
·
Volunteer: Currently for Habitat for Humanity.
·
Work: Over the years I have had many, many jobs in the
clerical field. Hope to coach single people in positive life principles in the
near future. (In high school I tested to become a psychiatrist and in college
the test said a high school counselor. Go figure!)
After living near Los Angeles, Chicago, Dallas and Denver,
I have learned that it is a fact of life to lose touch with many of the
wonderful people who share your life. I am looking forward to seeing those who
make the reunion and wish the Lord’s best blessings for them and all who are
unable to join us. At the Class of ‘62’s reunion last year, I enjoyed sharing
old friendships as I “tagged along” with my brother, George. I am proud of the
“spirit” we had at AHS.
God bless you always. Remember, helping others is one of
the true keys to happiness.
