Susan and I have been happily married for 38 years.

We have two children.  Steve Jr. Age 36 and Jean 33.  Steve is a pilot for American Airlines and is based in DFW.   Jean, owns her own Hair Salon in Minneapolis.  Both are doing very well.  Needless to say, we are very proud of them.

We have two wonderful grandchildren, Gabby age seven and Gage 14 months.  We think they are perfect in every way possible.  We think our kids come from very good stock so we think Gabby and Gage are off to a very good start.  They’ll be great citizens.

There are simply too many great grand baby stories to single out just one.  Gabby is the colorful one at this point and says exactly what’s on her mind.  Her accounts of events and thoughts about the things others do are priceless.  She pulls no punches.

Old Steve (that would be me) has been involved with industrial and food packaging most of his working career.  I’m a Packaging Engineer by trade and have provided goods and services to companies like ITW, Tyson Foods, ConAgra Foods, Dairy Farmers of America, Sara Lee, Beatrice Foods, Dean Foods, Land O Lakes, Leprino Foods, Colgate-Palmolive, Lexmark Industries and many others.  I have placed products all over North America, South America and the Middle East.

For most of my career I have been self-employed and have enjoyed the freedom that brings.

I have no plans of retiring any time soon because I enjoy the work I do and the people I serve so much.

I love to play golf but don’t play near enough.  I love college football, NASCAR, cars, our Maine Coon cats and travel.

My most favorite memories of High School were Friday and Saturday nights.  There was always something special going on.  If you were home and bored it was your own fault.

‘60s songs are ‘60s songs.  Were there any bad ones? Sure, some were better than others but there were no bad ones.

My most inspiring teachers were Alex Campbell and Miss Nathan.  Mr. Campbell because I loved his choir programs so much and Miss Nathan because she was always so supportive.

Well, I don’t know about 50 years but I do know when the time comes to stop work Sue and I will pack up the cats and head to Destin, FL. or Gulf Port, MS.   There is an abundance of golf courses and an average year round temperature of 75 to 80 degrees.  We’ll split the rainy season between Dallas and Minneapolis.
