What have you been up to for the last 40 years?
Married since. ’69. Wife Kathryn Anne White Lucas. Children: Christopher, 29 and almost engaged. He lives in Kansas City and is an attorney in The Edgar Law Firm. Alexander(Alec) 28 and married to Keri Ehrhardt Lucas. She plays a mean game of Big Boggle and teaches English as a second language. Alec is a second year seminary student at Trinity, near Chicago. Marya Kathryn, 25. She is single and a 3rd year law student and journalism graduate student in a dual degree program at the University of Missouri. She will be clerking for the Missouri Attorney General’s office this summer.
I am a practicing psychiatrist, trained at the University of Texas in San Antonio, back in the ‘70’s. I have had a private practice in Columbia for more than 20 years.
What do you want to do with the rest of your life (the next 50 years!)
I hope to keep working. I would like to have some grandchildren some day. I’ve thought of some great science projects for them. I would like to get my free throw average up above 80 percent. I want to truly understand relativity some day. I hope to get clear through Shakespeare, Chaucer and the Divine Comedy. Spanish is the only foreign language I have any competence in. I would like to perfect my Spanish in my old age and read Don Quixote in the original.
