I married Larry T. Smith (AHS grad also 1958) in August 1963.  We will celebrate our 40th anniversary this August.  We have a son, Dustin, 34 and a daughter, Tiffany 32.  Both attended Oklahoma State University.  Dustin is an engineer and holds the position as a project development manager.  Tiffany is an assistant to a media developer for mortgage and real estate companies.  Both Dustin and Shannon, and Tiffany and Tom live in the Parker area.

We have three granddaughters.  Celebrity is 3 ˝ years, Cassidy is 2 ˝ years, and Cheyenne is 1 ˝ years.  I have been very happy as a wife, mother, and grandmother.  I have had the opportunity to smell the wild plum blossoms along the path o’ life.  Sewing is my hobby, but love tailoring.  I collect vintage clothing and do some restoring.  I returned a turn of the century umbrella to its nearly original state using fabric from the shredded body.  I self published a book, and paint some landscapes.  I can bake a very good pie.  Apple, cherry (from our orchard), and gooseberry are my specialty.

We have traveled to S. America, San Blas Islands, Hawaii, Canada, and the good ole USA.  We are retired and plan to see much more of the historical eastern part of the USA by RV.

Favorite high school memory is of course our Senior Prom.  Our song was “Livin’ right next door to an angel” by Neil Sedaka.  We are history buffs, and visit antique sotres regularly.  In relation to our historical society membership, we plan and display historical presentations in the local library.

What do you want to do with the rest of your life (the next 50 years!)

In accordance with God’s will, for the rest of my life I will have a continued relationship with the blue bird of happiness, and if I am blessed it will continue to soar.  This is my wish for you……….
