My wife, Reba, and I will
be celebrating our 36th wedding anniversary this summer. Our
daughters and their families are:
Michelle (33) and George
Dewey whose children are: Brandon (14), Georgie (10), and Rachael (8).
Debbie (31) and John Barry
whose children are:
Tyler (10), Riley (4) and
Makayla (2)
Heather (30) and Daniel
Hall whose children are:
Dakota (5) and Talon (3)
As a helicopter pilot, I
flew two tours of duty in Vietnam. While in the military, we traveled
extensively and spent three years in Germany and many other places. We still
travel a great deal for both for business and pleasure. Our favorite places are
Bavaria, Bermuda and of course, any southern tropical beach. We are avid
campers and at least once a year our entire family goes on a fishing trip.
I have continued flying
helicopters for a living. I have been a Flight for Life pilot since 1983. God
is my pilot. Since I love it, I probably will fly until they take my license
away.
Since Reba and I met, we
have done everything together. Our favorite ‘60’s song is “A Summer Song” by
Chad Stewart and Jeremy Clyde. I still like “Green Onions”. For about 20
years, together we owned a lucrative restaurant and catering company. My wife,
Reba, is currently a councilmember for the City of Commerce City and very
involved with a reading program for school district 14. We are very proud of
our daughters as humanitarians in both nursing and teaching. Over the years, we
have experienced extreme happiness as well as great tragedy, all those
experiences helped me to appreciate every day that I have with my family. For
the rest of my life, I plan on flying into sunrises and sunsets as long as I
can. Then, I’ll still be ready to start something new.
