After graduation, began
Central Business School. Graduated in April 1964 and started working for the
Federal Government. Worked for the Dept of Health, Education & Welfare until
1971. My first child (Nicole) was born in October 1970. I returned to work for
the Environmental Protection Agency in 1972 and continued there until 1978 when
I transferred to the Bureau of Land Management as a software technician and disc
manager. During this span, my second child (Jason) was born in 1974.
In 1981, I married my
second husband Rodney Boles. We honeymooned in Mazatlan and made our home in
Lakewood. In 1983 we terminated our employment and moved to the country (17
miles northeast of Westcliffe). There we built our log home ourselves – an
experience that was the greatest challenge of our lives. I was employed by
Custom Homes, Inc. from 1986 until 1998 as Office Manager. This was a great
experience with a business that grew from nothing to become a very prosperous
business.
I was diagnosed with
Multiple Scleroses in 1998 and decided it was time to retire. In December of
2002, we sold our log home and moved to Canon City, CO where we currently
reside. My days are now spent in physical conditioning, light gardening and
camping with my twin sister Janet.
Live is good! I plan to
spend the next 40 years with my husband, children, and grandchildren.
What do you want to do with the
rest of your life (the next 50 years!)
Keep my health as best as I can.
Spend time with family and grandchildren as much as possible.
